This year, Green Club’s focus is on marine conservation and plastic pollution awareness. Made by club members, these fashionable bracelets were sold at all lunches to benefit Project Aware, a nonprofit that aims to reduce marine plastic pollution. “As much as you can, use reusable things, since it’s the smaller things that you do consistently that count,” Juliana Wilson, the co-president of Green Club said.

Although the festival is held at SPHS, Severna Park Middle School is just as involved. The school had their own booth to collect donations and promote free trees to help save the environment. “It’s great that we can get everyone involved in the festival, it shows that we can make a change” junior Jake Powell said.
