November 9, 2016 changed the lives of 19 Severna Park Athletes. They officiated their commitments to colleges and signed their National Letters of Intent. With a single swipe of a pen, these students now have a locked in spot on their school’s roster. “The NLI is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI agreement institution,” according to nationalletter.org.
Severna Park Boy’s lacrosse had the most amount of commits with a whopping total of nine athletes. The next sport in line was girls lacrosse. They had a total of five commits. After them followed Girl’s Field Hockey with two, and then Baseball, Girl’s Swimming and Basketball fell into place with one commit each.
