Three national guard members patrol the capital on Monday Sept. 9, 2025. While President Trump has threatened to send the national guard into Baltimore, Chicago and now Portland, they remain a presence in the nation’s capital.

Junior Jolene Robertson reads her English book in the auditorium  during Gold Block. “They used to be a  little more lenient on talking in the auditorium but then it got to be too much, so they made it a fully quiet zone for studying which I like a lot more,” Robertson said. It is also required to present your grades to a teacher prior to entering the auditorium for Falcon Block.
