Falcon 60 is a great time to redo tests, get extra help from teachers, or hang out with friends. But sometimes it feels like way too much time. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend a block, try checking out some of these school clubs:
- Space Exploration Club
Space Exploration club is, as the name suggests, a club all about outer space. It meets every first Wednesday in room 164 during blue block. At each meeting there are updates on news about space, lots of snacks, and fun space-related games, escape rooms, and other activities, so be sure to stop by if any of that sounds interesting.
- Amnesty Club
Amnesty Club meets every fourth Thursday in room 334 during blue block. At the meetings, there are presentations discussing human rights issues and discussions about how to address them. It is a great way to keep in touch with what is going on in the world and stay educated on how to help.
- Spanish Club
Spanish Club is a pretty popular club, but for good reason. It is open to anyone, regardless of whether you’ve taken Spanish. Each meeting focuses on a different Spanish speaking country, with a presentation about the local history and culture, along with themed games or crafts and dishes from the country. They always have a lot of effort put in, and are a great mix of education about the country and fun activities to participate in. The club meets every third Wednesday in room 249 during gold block.
- Coding Club
If something more technical sounds better, look no further than coding club. Meetings are every first and third Tuesday during blue block in room 311. For amateur and experienced coders alike, the club provides fun coding challenges to put your skills to the test. It also connects you with a group of peers with the same interest.
- Philosophy Club
For something less structured, check out philosophy club. It meets every Tuesday in room 203 during gold block. Stop by to participate in discussions about philosophy, share your own opinions, listen to others, and be prepared to change your mind.
