It is now the start of spirit week, and we are getting ready to have an amazing week leading into the homecoming football game and dance. Spirit week is an amazing time that brings students, teachers, and staff together to showcase school pride through themed days, fun activities, and the pep rally which has a bunch of friendly competitions along with performances.

Spirit week here is more than just dressing up; it’s about creating a sense of community and belonging. Each day features unique themes, encouraging everyone to express themselves creatively. It’s a chance to step out of the usual routine and enjoy a little extra joy and excitement throughout the school day. 

The energy builds as students participate in pep rallies, decorate hallways, and cheer on the football team. Pep rallies bring everyone together to celebrate achievements, pump up school spirit, and support every sports team and performers who represent Severna Park. Decorating class hallways adds a personal touch to the week, turning the school into a vibrant colorful space and enthusiasm of its students.

So far within the first two days there has been so much school spirit with not only students participating but also teachers dressing up in pajamas and fan wear. Upcoming next is Home away from home; News York is an amazing tourist destination, so dress up like you’re ready for a day of sight-seeing and selfies! 

For many students spirit week is the highlight of the school year because it’s a chance to make memories, have fun, and feel connected. That’s why this week is a very good opportunity for everyone to spread positivity and make unforgettable memories.
