Many members of the Severna Park community ran or walked in the annual Fight for Phoebe Memorial 5k Fun Run at Severna Park Elementary School.

The Fight for Phoebe organization is dedicated to helping local people and families with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH).
Runners Nate Vandemeulebroecke, Garrison Clark, Colm O’Connor, James Loui, Matt Bateman, and Alex Chaisson of the SPHS XC team support the Fight for Phoebe Ward race.

John, the South African penguin from the National Zoo in Washington D.C. entertained runner’s before the start of the race.
